Afternoon Plenary Roundtable Discussions | What Will the Next 25 (perhaps 50) Years Look like for Energy Use in the Built Environment?
This session and round table discussions will feature panelists who will provide a glimpse into the future of the built environment and the current work that different agencies are doing to forge a sustainable future. All conference attendees will be invited to explore the world of sustainable innovation, smart cities, and the evolving landscape of design and construction. This insightful session will challenge the audience to reconsider their assumptions about the future and their role in shaping it.
Topics of discussion will include:
- Building decarbonization technologies and policies.
- Local, state, and federal policies and incentives to promote building electrification.
- Funding and technology deployments to decarbonize building materials such as steel and concrete.
- Smart buildings that utilize energy storage and electric grid tied services to optimize clean energy.
