With an eye toward making the Port of Long Beach the world's first zero-emissions seaport, multiple transformative projects are enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of California's transportation and supply chains. The recently completed Long Beach Container Terminal, considered one of the world’s greenest and most technologically advanced terminal, can handle the biggest ships on the water today. The $1.567 billion Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility, currently under construction, will enhance on-dock rail capacity at shipping terminals, speeding deliveries across the entire national supply chain, easing congestion and lessening environmental impacts. And an ambitious Pier Wind project being considered, would be the nation’s largest facility specifically designed to assemble offshore wind turbines to support the nation’s renewable energy targets. These projects signify the commitment to creating jobs, reducing pollution, eliminating bottlenecks, and building a dynamic supply chain faster for environmental and economic progress.

Attend the technical tour and learn about unique challenges, outstanding innovations, and how massive construction projects are conducted without interrupting the port's daily operations.
